The XL-BOARD is a stationary, foldable and retractable vehicle transfer board designed to bridge the gap when transferring from a wheelchair to a driver or front passenger seat of the Mazda 5®.

The XL-BOARD is designed to be installed into the Mazda 5® exclusively. The Mazda 5® is the only vehicle of its kind to offer a sliding door in the central position. This feature offers ideal space for loading and unloading a wheelchair.

The XL-BOARD takes up very little space, as it compactly folds and tucks into place between the seat and the door. To offer stability while loading and unloading oneÂ’s wheelchair, the XL-BOARD comes complete with a retractable support arm. The non-motorized transfer board has a slightly cushioned vinyl surface that is removable, allowing easy access to the vehicle to accommodate different drivers.

Adapting your vehicle to meet your needs without structural modifications is what we are all about. The XL-BOARD installs directly into the seatÂ’s original floor bolts and of course, it is easily removed to return the vehicle to its original condition, without affecting the resale value of your vehicle.

Specs:

The transfer board has a slightly rectangular shape with dimensions of 14.5 inches long by 13 inches wide. The transfer height onto the board is 21.5 inches from the ground. The vehicles original seat sits at 23 inches from the ground. The weight capacity of the XL-BOARD is 275 lbs and the sliding door of the Mazda 5 is 28.5 inches wide.
