TYPE OF VEHICLE:
Vehicles provided may be SIDE or REAR access, often with a MANUAL ramp.
*If you require a specific style of vehicle, please make a request at time of reservation & if available, we will hold that vehicle for you.
If not specified, vehicles are rented based upon availability at the time of arrival. We do not guarantee which vehicle will be available.
RATES
New rates apply to reservations made on or after November 5, 2026. Reservations made before then keep the rate quoted when booked.

- 150 miles a day included; $0.35 per extra mile.
- Half day: paid in full when you book. After a 30-minute grace period it becomes a full day, and your $95 is credited. Not available on holiday-minimum dates.
- Weekend Special: pick up Friday at noon or later, return by Monday 9 AM. Not available on holiday-minimum dates.
- Holidays: 3-day minimum for any rental that includes Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve or New Year's Day.
INSURANCE:
- You'll need full-coverage insurance (liability, comprehensive and collision) for the rental. Before pickup, please have your insurance agent send us proof of coverage. Your insurance is primary for anything that happens during the rental.
- We recommend renter informs insurance agent of rental dates to ensure proper coverage is provided for the vehicle chassis AND the additional conversion & equipment
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED FOR EACH DRIVER:
- Copy of valid, driver's license
- Each driver must be at least 25 years old
- Copy of current Insurance card
- Current address, phone, date of birth
DEPOSITS:
- $100 deposit required for 1-6 day rental (Weekend Special included)
- $200 deposit required for 7-13 day rental
- $500 deposit required for 14+ day rental
- Full refund 7 or more days before pickup; 50% for 3-6 days; no refund under 3 days or for a no-show.
- Half-day rentals are paid in full when you book and follow the same refund schedule.
* Deposits MUST be paid with Visa, Master Card, Discover or AMEX (NO DEBIT CARDS) & is required for us to hold a vehicle. Once a vehicle is reserved, we refuse rental to any other calls that come in if our rental fleet is fully booked. Because we are often booked for weeks in advance, cancellations inside of 7 days restricts the chances that we will be able to fill the block of time previously reserved.
A vehicle is not reserved until the deposit or full payment is received.
MILEAGE:
- Standard Rental rates include 150 miles per day
- Weekend Specials includes a total of 450 miles
- $0.35 per mile will be charged for any mileage over allowable
Mileage count begins when vehicle leaves Hartselle, AL, and ends when returned to Hartselle, AL; whether picked up by customer or delivered by Griffin personnel
FUEL CHARGES:
- Please return the van with the same fuel level it had at pickup. If it comes back with less, we charge $10.95 per gallon short.
LATE RETURNS:
There's a 30-minute grace period. After that, late returns are charged a quarter of the daily rate per hour, and anything over 3 hours late is a full extra day.

Pick Up and Delivery:
In many cases, we can provide delivery & pickup of rentals. This premium add-on must be coordinated at time of booking and is based upon location & availability of driver(s)
- Vehicles can be picked up, at no charge, at Griffin Mobility's Office, located at 213 Chestnut Street NW, Hartselle, Alabama.
- Delivery 25 miles or less one-way -- $175 per trip - Includes Huntsville Airport (HSV)
- Delivery 26-50 miles one-way -- $275 per trip
- Delivery 51-75 miles one-way -- $375 per trip - Includes Birmingham airport (BHM)
- Over 75 miles: add $4.00 per mile
Fees are per trip, based on one-way distance from our Hartselle office. Delivery and pickup are each charged separately.
If you are experienced with mobility equipment and wheelchair securement procedures and do not require instruction or training, we are happy to leave vehicle in short-term parking @ airport(s) -- * Extra charges will apply for Delivery/ Pick up between 6:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Deliveries and pick ups are subject to additional charges if our delivery personnel have to wait more than 30 minutes to complete transaction as a result of a late flight etc.
